What is an Electronic wiring harness?

An electronic harness is a combination of strings of wires and cables used to carry information signals or operating signals. Wire harnesses are made of clips, cable ties, sleeves, electrical tape or a combination of these materials.

The process of wire harness assembly

1. The production of the harness sub-material number must be compared to the positioning plate to determine the cut wire size. In the current wire harness assembly process, it is often possible to meet the size of the sub-material number, but not the size of the positioning plate. This results in a lot of unnecessary waste. The sub-material number should also be electrically tested and fully inspected.

2.Wiring of the harness (lay each sub-material number flat on the positioning board in accordance with the requirements of the drawing. In the wiring, first of all, one area should be placed one by one, after the sub-material number of a single area has been placed, then the sub-material number of the cross-area should be placed, and the sub-material number of the cross-area should also be placed first in a simple way, then in a complex way.

3, insert PIN (part of the TER not inserted PIN must first be inserted into the corresponding connector). Tie wire (tie wire position according to the positioning board, the starting point of the tie wire is generally in the starting position of the double line in the positioning board.)

4.Electrical test (Due to the complex wire position of the assembly line, the test data must be strictly checked. The test can only be carried out after confirmation by both PE & QE)

5. Full inspection (a. Check if the terminals and CONN are within the tolerance zone; b. Check if the wire binding rings are even; c. Check if the parts are assembled in the correct way.)

6.Input of sub-material number of wire harness (sub-material number must be inspected by OQC after PASS, before post-sequence action can be carried out.)
